EQUIPMENT

  • 2 Large mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Egg whisk
  • Large non-stick skillet
  • Spatula
  • Spoon
  • Butter knife

INGREDIENTS

For the Egg Batter:

  • 8 Eggs
  • 4 cups Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 drop Butter extract
  • 2 drops Pure vanilla extract
  • A spoonful of Powdered sugar

For the Whipped Cream:

  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar

For the French Toast:

  • Cinnamon swirl bread slices
  • Country Crock butter
  • Cooking oil spray
  • Maple syrup
  • Strawberries, optional
  • Blueberries, optional

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Break the eggs into a large bowl and add in the heavy whipping cream. Add in a few drops of the vanilla and butter extract. Whisk the mixture for 5-7 minutes to combine all the ingredients. Set aside.
  2. Spread some butter on both sides of the cinnamon swirl bread slices and lay them flat on a plate or tray.
  3. Grease the skillet with cooking oil and set on medium to low heat.
  4. Meanwhile, dip the buttered bread into the egg batter and let it soak up for 3 minutes or longer. Carefully take it out and place it back on the tray. Do this till you exhaust your buttered bread slices.
  5. In batches of 4 or 5, place the bread in the heated skillet to cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side. Then, turn down the heat a little to keep the toast warm while you make the whipped cream.
  6. Into another bowl, add the heavy whipping cream and sugar, then whisk for 8 minutes until it is fluffy.
  7. Serve the French toast on a plate, top it with the whipped cream, drizzle some honey, and add some strawberries and blueberries on the sides. You can sprinkle on some powdered sugar for extra sweetness.

Notes

  1. If you don’t want to go through the stress of making your homemade whipped cream, you can just skip step 6 and use store-bought whipped cream instead.
