The Flagg/Boyd Christmas House Tour! (& A Bonus Cocktail Recipe!)

It’s time! Mariah Carey has come out of her cave to let us know what she wants for Christmas (spoiler alert: it’s you!).

If you know me, you know that the holidays are my favorite time of the year. Okay! Well, that’s probably true for a lot of people… but I do tend to go all out! And this year is no different. Sure we’re still in the middle of a pandemic, but to me, that’s more of a reason to get into the Christmas spirit.

The lights, the decorations, the candles, the candy canes, the toys, the fire, the food, the smell… it just makes me so happy!😭 I wanted to give you all a glimpse of what it’s like during the holidays at our house. So be sure to watch my YouTube video to catch up on what’s going down.

Also, y’all know that I don’t joke with my cocktails, and I’m not about to start now…

I present to you – The Kris Kringle Candy Cane Martini.

It is festive, easy, fun, and delicious. Plus, it has got a nice zing to it.

You can shake up this creamy deliciousness in just 10 minutes or less. Or… If you are planning a house party, you can mix all the ingredients in a pitcher ahead of time and store it in a pitcher. It will save time and make festive preparations easier.

Moving on to the ingredients you’d need to make this cocktail happen…

EQUIPMENT

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cups
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cutting board
  • Refrigerator
  • 3 Small shallow dishes
  • Barspoon

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 oz. White chocolate liqueur
  • 0.5 oz. Peppermint schnapps
  • 4 oz. Vanilla vodka
  • 5 Candy canes, finely crushed
  • Organic agave, for rimming the glasses
  • Powdered white sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • Mini candy canes, to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Pour some ice cubes into the glass of the cocktail shaker (or the smaller can of your two-piece shaker), measure in the vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps, and white chocolate liqueur, put on the top of the shaker, and shake vigorously to mix all the ingredients.
  2. Place the candy canes (without unwrapping them yet) on the cutting board and crush them into tiny bits with a rolling pin. Once completely crushed, pour the crushed candy into a bowl.
  3. Turn the frozen martini glasses upside down and dip the rim into the small bowl of sweet, organic agave, followed by the powdered sugar and then the crushed candy cane.

Notes

  1. Place your martini glasses in the freezer an hour before you begin to prep your cocktail so that you can enjoy a chilled, refreshing drink.
